"In
2003 I had the opportunity to visit Leipzig, Germany for the first time and
to participate in the Congress organized by you and held under the auspices
of the Vorsitzende des Vorstandes - Europäische Vereinigung für
Vitalität und Aktives Altern (EVAAA). This was an impressive Congress attended by many
well-known researchers in the field of aging and longevity determination.
I am pleased to learn that the Congress "GESUNDHEITSRESSOURCEN. New Technologies and Services for the Health Market" is to be held in January, 2005 and also organized by EVAAA
My interest in the EVAAA program comes from my 45 year-long interest in the biology of aging. One of the most important unsolved problems in biogerontology is to find biomarkers for human aging that can serve to measure the variations in rates of age changes. The EVAAA program has made significant progress in this area that has obtained international recognition.
I wish to congratulate EVAAA for now organizing the Congress "GESUNDHEITSRESSOURCEN. New Technologies and Services for the Health Market" to be held in January, 2005. This is a further demonstration of their farsightedness in providing a forum for the recognition of new techniques and better services for older people. The needs of this growing population of humans have not been fully recognized and this Congress should provide an opportunity to advance our knowledge in this area.
Leipzig is a marvelous venue for this Congress which continues its’ world famous tradition of having given birth to many major scientific ideas and also has been the academic home for many of the worlds’ most famous scientists."
